The Zodiac and the Gospel - Chapter 9 Taurus

❈❈TAURUS (THE BULL)❈❈

Corresponds with the tribe of Joseph and his two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh
Hebrew - SH OHR - meaning coming and ruling

This Taurus constellation translates to bull in Latin. It pictures a ferocious rushing bull with its head down ready to explode into his enemies. It corresponds with the tribe of Joseph and his two sons who are symbolized as the two horns of the bull. Joshua 17:17 tells us, "Then Joshua said to the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh, the descendants of Joseph, 'Since you are so large and strong, you will be given more than one portion.'"

The Meaning of the Bull:
This bull exploding into his enemies is the sacrificial lamb who becomes a charging bull who will personally deliver the kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven. A bull is the personification of judgment and Christ coming to conquer and rule. Isaiah 34:2 tells us, "For the LORD is enraged against the nations. His furry is against all their armies. He will completely destroy them, dooming them to slaughter." Because the Taurus through Leo constellations depict Jesus and His return, we acknowledge Him here for the righteous King that He is as he sets the world right again. Later in that same chapter of Isaiah, verses 7&8 is says, "Even men as strong as wild oxen will die -- the young men alongside the veterans. The land will be soaked with blood and the soil enriched with fat. For it is the day of the LORD's revenge, the year when Edom will be paid back for all it did to Israel." This is obviously not the best time to find yourself an unbeliever with your back turned toward God.

Pleiades:
Riding on  the neck of the bull as pictured below is a cluster of seven bright stars in the constellation named the Greek word, Pleiades; in Hebrew (cimah) this means heap.

PLEIADES IN GREEK MEANS THE CONGREGATION OF THE JUDGE OR RULER
Let's look at Scripture that references this cluster of starts, their symbolism, and meaning:

He made all the stars -- the Bear and Orion, the Pleiades and the constellations of the southern sky. Job 9:9
Can you direct the movement of the stars -- binding the cluster of the Pleiades or loosening the cords of Orion? Can you direct constellations through the seasons or guide the Bear with her cubs across the heavens? Job 38:31-32
It is the LORD who created the stars, the Pleiades and Orion. He turns darkness into morning and day into night. He draws up water from the oceans and pours it down as rain on the land. The LORD is His name! Amos 5:8
This group of seven stars must be significant to be called out in Scripture by name on these three occasions. As we are aware of by now, seven is an important number to God; it signifies the number of completion.

Look at Those Sevens:
Similarly to the seven stars riding on the neck of the bull are likened to the seven stars, which are the seven churches mentioned in Revelation. This Bride of Christ (the churches) is riding upon the neck of the Messiah.

Did you know that on the earth we live in today those seven churches mentioned in Revelation were literal churches situated at the foot of a mountain range called the Taurus Mountains in Karaman, Turkey?

The Center and Booths:
In Arabic Pleiades means the center. To early astronomers Pleiades was deemed the center of the universe.

The Syriac name for the Pleiades is Succoth, which means booths. This is curious since there is a Jewish Feast of Booths (see my upcoming blog series on the Jewish feasts). This feast has deep meaning of God dwelling in the midst of His people after rendering judgement. This signifies how the Lord binds and heals.
