The Zodiac and the Gospel - Chapter 6 Aquarius

✩✩AQUARIUS (THE WATER BEARER)✩✩

Corresponds with the tribe of Reuben
Hebrew - de LEE - meaning the water urn or bucket

The Latin word aquarius means water pourer. This constellation depicts a redeemer pouring out his spirit upon us. He pours an unlimited supply of water from an urn into the mouth of a fish. The Bible abounds with Scripture referencing the Lord pouring out His spirit as water is poured out on His people. Jesus promised, "If anyone thirsts let him come to me and drink. He who believes in me as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water" John 7:37-38.

The story of the water bearer is the story of a Savior giving a world the greatest substance of life. As fish need water, we need the Spirit of the Lord. Jesus came not only to be our atonement, but also the water of life poured out into a stream that never runs dry.
Nothing  will hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, for as the waters fill the sea, so the earth will be filled with people who know the LORD. Isaiah 11:9
Here are some references for water being the promise of life:
Nothing will hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, for as the waters fill the sea, so the earth will be filled with people who know the Lord. Isaiah 11:9
The LORD will be our Mighty One. He will be like a wide river of protection that no enemy can cross, that no enemy ship can sail upon. Isaiah 33:21
For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the LORD. Habakkuk 2:14
Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. Ezekiel 36:25
I'm so thankful that Jesus is our refreshing and living water. He possesses an endless supply of water and pours it out onto us. His water cleanses us, baptizes us to makes us new, and is drank into our bodies as refreshment for our souls. The constellation of Aquarius, and its message, is one of my favorites in this series.
